C. C. Designs Review - Rainy Day Birgitta

***This is my second post for the day. Please scroll down for my TCP Sneak Peek post***

 Today is review day on the All That Scraps blog and I am joining the rest of the All That Scraps design team members. My card features one of the new Swiss Pixies introduced this month, C.C. Designs Rainy Day Birgitta.

I love the whole Swiss Pixie line and this one has to be in my top five favorites. I combined this beauty with the Basic Grey Konichiwa patterned paper for a tropical look and feel, paper piecing the dress and coloring the rest with Copic markers. I also used one of the sentiments from the Umbrellas Logo sentiment set to accentuate the rain forest theme I was trying to achieve. Botanicals via the C.C. Designs Leafy Branch and Leaves Cutters nestled amongst the ribbon bow provided the finishing touches.

Sending Birthday Wishes {The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek}

We're kicking off the first day of The Cat's Pajamas latest release with a TCP Tuesday (TCPTUES206) inspiration challenge from our hostess Jen. I don't know about you but I've been really wanting some new TCP goodness. This release came just in time as I was thinking about sending a search party after Alma!

Today we are featuring the new graphic set Commemorating You which is perfect for the postal themed inspiration piece. I started out by cutting a trio of stamps from plain white cardstock using the Stamp Trio CutUps. I then used 8 different stamps from the set to decorate them, including the sentiment which crosses over the three stamps. I finished them by sponging light blue ink on the backgrounds. The glassine envie came from my stash as well as the Making Memories button. I tied them both off with the fun Airmail Divine Twine. Trust me, if you don't have this yet, you need it!!

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and CutUps, Divine Twine, Basic Grey dp, Making Memories button

All the details for this TCP Tuesday challenge can be found on Alma’s blog as well as the list of the Cat Pack members who have a sneak peek today! And, don’t forget that Alma is giving away a set a day to someone that posts on the IN IT TO WIN IT thread on the TCP forum on SCS.

Mothers {All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge}

Today's card is for the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge. The theme is "anything goes".

I created a super simple Mother's Day card for this challenge - this is one of the cards I recently sent to Operation Write Home. I used a sentiment from the newly released All About Mom set as the center piece of the card. The paper is all older Making Memories. I emulated the row of umbrellas in the patterned paper with an umbrella cut with the also newly released Umbrella Cutter. Then added a rose cut with My Favorite Things Die-namics and the leaves with the Leaves Cutter.

Products: C.C. Designs stamp and Cutters, My Favorite Things Die-namics, Making Memories dp, Kaisercraft pearls

I hope you can join in on the challenge. Please remember, that in order to be eligible to win, your project must include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps shop whether it is any of the wonderful in house designs or from the various other stamp companies that ATS carries. Be sure to check out the challenge blog for specific details on how to include your entry.

And Baby Makes Three {TCP Tuesday 205}

Today's card is for this week's TCP Tuesday (TCPTUES205). Alma is our hostess this week and we are using one of Leigh's fun sketches.

I actually needed a baby card so I decided to use one of my favorite TCP sets And Baby Makes... I also went way back into my stash and pulled out some very old Ki Memories paper. I stamped the giraffes image onto Copics X-Press It blending cardstock, cut out with Spellbinders Nestabilities and then colored with Copic Markers. I cut three banners using the banner shape from the Easy Rosettes CutUps, stamping the sentiment onto the white banner. To accommodate the edging cut with the Icing CutUps I made the card base width approximately one half inch smaller than the normal A2 size so it would fit in the envelope.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamp and CutUps, Linen Thread, Ki Memories dp, PTI button
Copics: BV0000, BV00, BV01, RV00, RV11, Y0000, Y21, BG0000

All the details for this TCP Tuesday challenge can be found on Alma’s blog. As always, there is potential for fame (Pick of the Litter) and/or fortune (Pick of the Week) and possibly even Swanky Stamper of the Month.

Color me Hoppy (TCP Tuesday 204)

Today's card is for TCP Tuesday (TCPTUES204) which is a Stamp/CutUp combo selected by our hostess, Susie. Susie has challenged us to  use any Easter related stamps along with the clouds, grass or Easter Basket CutUps does.

I decided to revisit the Bunny Side Up set for my card today. I combined it with Basic Grey's Konichiwa 6x6 pad. I used a couple of CutUps, the egg die from the Eggs in the Basket CutUps, nestling the colored eggs in the grass. Speaking of grass, I used the Grass Border CutUps to cut two lengths of grass, inserting the image and "eggs" in between the two pieces. I generally followed the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 155 for the layout.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamp and CutUps, Basic Grey dp, American Crafts ribbon, Cuttlebug Embossing folder, Copic Markers

C.C. Designs Preview - All About Mom

I am joining the rest of the All That Scraps design team members in previewing the All About Mom sentiment set from C.C. Designs. This is really a great set of sentiments of which I put to good use. I created five different Mother's Day cards most of which went to Operation Write Home. I'm showcasing two of them today.

For my first card, I allowed the sentiment to take center stage. I used one of the journal sheets from the Simple Stories Fabulous 6x6 pads as my main panel, stamping the sentiment directly onto it. On one corner I added a felt heart cut with the Big Heart Embossing Cutter with the addition of a bit of seam binding and a button. In the opposite corner I added a floral piece using the Five Point Flowers and Leafy Branch Cutters. Rows and grouping of pearls provided the finishing touches.

Products: C.C. Designs stamp and Cutters, Simple Stories dp, Kaisercraft pearls, PTI felt and button

For my second card, I used one of the simple yet beautiful scripty sentiments. It is center stage again - stamped directly onto the patterned paper and then cut out in a banner shape. I used the new Watering Can Logos stamp set, stamping directly onto patterned paper and then cut out using the matching Watering Can Cutter.

Products: C.C. Designs stamp and Cutter, My Mind's Eye dp, Kaisercraft pearls, American Crafts ribbon, Martha Stewart paper doily, Prima pearl center, Maya Road stickpin

This collection will be available for purchase at the All That Scraps store tonight, April 5 at 10 pm CT. Be sure to check out the All That Scraps blog for even more previews.

C.C. Designs Preview - Laugh Lines Garden

Good morning. I am joining the rest of the All That Scraps design team members in previewing the newest Laugh Lines image from C.C. Designs.

I colored up Laugh Lines Garden with Copics and then cut out with Spellbinders Nestabilities. I combined this little cutie with one of the newest Echo Park 6x6 pads, This and That Graceful. The sentiment is from the also new Watering Can Logos. There is a matching watering can Cutter for this sentiment set although I did not use it here. But I did use the new Curly Q Cutter border which I think adds a fun bit of whimsy to the the card. The flower was cut using My Favorite Things Die-namics and I attached it to a flourish I cut with the C.C. Designs Squiggle dies.

Copics: Skin-E000, E00, E11, R20; Hair-E31, E34, E37, E29, Eyes-B41, 0; Clothing/Boots-R30, R32, R22, E81, W00, YG0000, G20, G43; Watering Can-Y0000, Y13, Y17, R32, R35, R37
