{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Bubbles Happen

It's Day 5 of The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks. We are counting down the days to the release on June 17. What's on your wish list?

Today we are showcasing the new Bubbles Happen set. After coloring and cutting out the image, I framed it with a piece from the Framed Up 2 CutUps. {The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Vintage Summer

Welcome to Day 4 of The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peeks! We are showcasing the Vintage Summer set today.

I started out by stamping the image onto Sno Cone cardstock using Simon Says Black ink and then cut out with the matching piece from the Framed Up CutUps set. I added four enamel dots to each side of the sentiment and then attached to the background embossed with a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder.  I cut out the stacked flower using the new Petal Posies CutUps which I then layered on top of a flourish cut with the Heart Swirl and topped with an enamel dot. All the patterned papers came from the Pebbles Sunny Side pad.

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Nature's Hello and Simple Blooms

It's day three of the TCP Sneak Peeks and we have a "two-fer" today. That's right, we are revealing two sets!

First up is Nature's Hello which features P.J. I started out by stamping the image in the lower right corner of the main panel, then I used a Spellbinders Nestie to cut a circle on the main panel which also eliminated part of the flower in the image. I stamped the sentiment twice bending it so it would stamp along the curve of the circle cutout. The flower on the image was stamped separately and fussy cut after coloring it with Copic markers. Patterned paper from the Simple Stories DIY Boutique pad was slipped underneath the circle cut out and I popped up the flower P.J. is holding with dimensional dots. I cut another flower using two pieces from the also new Petal Posies CutUps anchored with an enamel dot.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies, Simple Stories dp, Bazzill and PTI cs, Doodlebug enamel dot, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Memento and Simons Says inks, Copic Markers
Copics: Bear-E40, E81, B0000, B000, B01, YR30, YR31; Flower-Y11, Y13, Y15, RV00, RV10,RV11, RV14, G40, G43; Shadows-B0000, B000

Next is the Simple Blooms set which I have to say is just gorgeous. I predict I will be using this set a lot. I worked with the Cutables for this set using my Silhouette to cut the matching bloom. Rather than using the cutout I used the reverse of it placing one of the dies from the Framed Up 2 CutUps turned on its side to cut it out. I stamped the image onto patterned paper with Versamark ink and then heat embossed it with Black Diamond embossing powder.

After stamping the sentiment, I slipped the stamped piece underneath matching it to the open space. All the patterned paper came from the Amy Tangerine Plus One pad. Silver thread, a button and several sequins finished it up.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies, American Crafts dp, PTI cs and button, Bazzill cs, Lawn Fawn sequins, Versamark and Simons Says inks

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Play Ball

Welcome to Day 2 of The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks! Today we are showcasing the Play Ball set featuring the big eared bunny.

I used the new Step Out Cutables to create the card base from kraft cardstock and the mats from the Glitz Design Dapper Dan pad. I also used the matching Cutables Play Ball set in my Silhouette to cut out the bunny, baseballs, base and two of the sentiments from Copic X Press It cardstock. Fantastic for those of you who do not like to fussy cut! After stamping the images and sentiments onto the cut outs I colored with Copic Markers. I stamped another one of the sentiments from the set onto a banner cut with the Easy Rosette CutUps. Although I am not much of a baseball fan I went all out with the theme. I chose kraft colors to represent the infield, the grass in the outfield (cut with the Grass CutUps), the woodgrain paper to represent the wood bat (Louisville Slugger style) and the red white and blue stars (cut with the 3x3 Stars CutUps and anchored with white enamel dots) since baseball is considered the great American past time. It might be a bit of a stretch but I think the "steps" represent bleacher seating. I love the Step Out card base because you can turn it in other directions for a completly different layout.

There is even a "surprise" sentiment on one of the step outs.

When folded the card fits in an A2 size envelope.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps, CutUps and Cutables, Glitz Design dp, PTI cs and button, Teresa Collins enamel dots, Copic Marker

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Strange and Wonderful

Welcome to Day 1 of The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peeks. Over the next seven days The Cat Pack will be showcasing eight new stamp sets and three new dies.

We are kicking things off with a TCP Tuesday challenge. Kelli is our hostess for a Color Challenge of Kraft, Rose and Vanilla.

Today we are debuting the Strange and Wonderful set. I first stamped the image onto the off white  background and then again on the tag shape cut with the Luggage Tags CutUps. After coloring both pieces with a combination of Copic and Spectrum Noir markers, I inserted the two threads through the tag hole and attached the tag to the background piece, lining up the two images as one. I stamped the sentiment directly onto the background piece and added the medium size and a couple of small butterflies all  cut with the also new Butterflies CutUps and anchored with enamel dots. A couple of sequins finished it up.

Merry Christmas (Merry Monday 111)

It's been several weeks since I've been able to join the Merry Monday challenge. Other than design team work I've been quiet on the creative front. I'll be honest in saying that I lost my Christmas card mojo somewhere along the way too. The challenge piece definitely put me in the mood as I love the colors.

I used the Papertrey Ink Snowflake Flurries stamps and matching dies to stamp the snowflakes using Fresh Ink in Pool and French Lavender, Memento Rose Red and Stampin' Up Pistachio Pudding. I attached to the background piece, using dimensional dots on one of them to bring it forward and then topped each with a matching jewel. I stamped the sentiment directly onto the background piece and adding a few more jewels for a clean and simple card.

Products: Papertry Ink stamps and dies, MFT and Bazzill cs, Kaisercraft and Doodlebug jewels, Lil Inker Designs die Fresh Ink, Memento and Stampin' Up inks

I hope to get back to posting regularly again as May was probably one of lowest posting months since I've been blogging. My back gave me fits all throughout the month and I finally broke down and went to the doctor yesterday to get two shots in my back. It takes a while for them to kick in but I'm hoping they help me be a little more active.
