The Sugar Bowl "October Anything Goes" Challenge

Did you see the announcement that I am now a Sugar Bowl "Sweetie."  The Sugar Bowl blog has been restarted and today's card is for the October "Anything Goes" challenge.

I used the eraser tool in PSE to remove the bench, balloons and grass part of the image from the Furry Friends Waiting for You digital stamp, leaving me with only the bear and sign. I colored both images with Copic Markers and then fussy cut out. I cut out the bench with my Silhouette and then used a PTI Woodgrain Impression plate to add texture. The background features patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn Snow Day pad and I used The Cat's Pajamas Grass CutUps to cut the grass portion. After placing the bear and sign on the bench, I then added two snowflakes cut with a Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflakes dies and anchored with a button.

Products: Sugar Nellie digital stamp, Lawn Fawn dp and die, PTI cs and impression plate, MFT button, Silhouette file, Copic Markers
Copics: W00, E81, R22, R24, R27, E50, E51, E53, E57

It's easy enough to join the challenge. You must use a Sugar Nellie image for your anything goes challenge and link The Sugar Bowl blog to your post. There is a fabulous prize involved that I know you are going to want!! make sure to hop on over to The Sugar Bowl blog to get all the details.

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Boo Y'all

Welcome to Day 3 of The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks! We have another Halloween image for you today featuring the big eared bunny as the grim reaper. I'm thinking the devil looks a little meaner than this, don't you?

Rather than coloring the image from the new Boo Y'all set I stamped him on a white card stock circle in Versamark ink, sprinkled Ranger Orange Embossing Powder on the image and then heat embossed. I then stamped the sentiment onto black card stock and heat embossed with Recollections Lime Green embossing powder. The main panel was created with some very old Ki Memories paper from back in my scrap booking days. I added a strip of patterned paper from last year's Glitz Design Raven pad, some American Crafts ribbon and Doodlebug buttons. The image panel was secured with dimensional dots.

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Eat, Drink and Be Scary

Welcome to Day 2 of The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks! We are moving on to a much less serious theme of Halloween. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays to make cards for so I am super excited to share today's project with you.

Today's card features the Eat, Drink and Be Scary set! I used the matching Cutables set in my Silhouette to cut out the Frankenstein, platter of skeletons and bones, the candelabra and table from Copics X-Press It cardstock. I stamped the images onto the various pieces and then colored with Copic Markers. I then got my Silhouette going again using the new Twisted Easel Cutables to cut out the card base, and mats from card stock and patterned paper. So easy! I layered the table pieces onto a panel cut with the matching pieces from the Fancy Flip and Fancy Flip Frames CutUps and attached it to the easel portion of the card. for the inside portion of the card, I stamped the sentiment onto pieces also from the Fancy Flip and Fancy Flip Frames CutUps with Studio Calico Purple Rain ink and then attached Frankenstein to it. I then layered a couple of purple Rox to the white mats to represent a couple of extra "eyes."

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek} Survivor

Welcome to Day 1 of The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks. Over the next seven days The Cat Pack will be showcasing seven new stamp sets, four new dies and two new Cutables. It's going to be a great week of projects so let's get started.

We are debuting the new Survivor set in honor of Breast Cancer Month in October. I used the matching (and free!) Cutables Survivor set in my Silhouette to cut out the bunny and the extra ribbon from Copic X Press It cardstock.  After stamping the images onto the cut outs I colored with Copic Markers. I created the open frame by stacking the matching pieces from the Fancy Flip and Fancy Flip Frames CutUps onto patterned paper from the Teresa Collins Family Stories pad then running through my Big Shot. I attached it to the background panel and then layered the image over it as well as the small ribbon with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment onto a another patterned paper piece with the Fancy Flip Frames CutUps, also attached with foam tape. A few Doodlebug Enamel Dots finished it up.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps, CutUps and Cutables, Teresa Collins dp, Bazzill and PTI cs, Doodlebug enamel dots, Copic Markers

Keep Calm and Drink Coffee

I'm back today with a card for the September Week 3 Viva la Verve sketch using stamps and dies from the Anni-VERVE-sary release.

I cut the tag from patterned paper with the C.C. Designs Baggie and Tie Cutters set and then stamped the sentiment from the new Verve Coffee set using Stampin' Up Midnight Muse ink. I then finished up the sentiment by using the also new Coffee Word Die cut from navy card stock which I then attached to a banner. I debated with myself to use all browns but at the last minute decided to mix it up with navy and orange. I stamped the coffee bean images randomly onto the same patterned paper as the tag and then cut into circles with My Favorite Things Die-namics. I cut the third circle from chevron patterned paper. I stamped the coffee cup from the same Coffee set onto a piece cut with the matching Cuppa Joe Die set, colored with Copic Markers and then attached to the largest circle with dimensional dots. All the patterned paper came from the My Mind's Eye On the Bright Side One pad.

Products: Verve stamps and dies, My Mind's Eye dp, Bazzill cs, C.C. Designs and My Favorite Things dies, Stampin' Up ink, Copic Markers
Copics: W00, E81

Psalm 34:8

I am playing catch up on the September Viva la Verve sketches as we were visiting North Carolina family for a week. Plus I am also still trying to use the stamps and dies from my fabulous Anni-VERVE-sary winnings!

I used Sketch 2 for the layout of today's clean and simple card. I stamped the Verve Psalm 34:8 sentiment directly onto a subtle patterned paper using Simon Says Black ink. A strip of patterned paper layered with ribbon and a trio of sequins topped with jewels finished it up. This was quick and easy one. All the patterned paper came from the Fancy Pants The Good Life pad.

Products: Verve stamp, Fancy Pants dp, Bazzill cs, PTI cs and ribbon, Pretty Pink Posh sequins, Kaisercraft jewels, My Favorite Things Die-namics, Simon Says ink

The past week was somewhat quiet on my blog but today's card is the start of a flurry of activity. Lots and lots to share with you all through the next week and beyond, including The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks starting Tuesday.

Have a great weekend! I'll be back tomorrow with another card based on a Verve sketch.
