{The Cat's Pajamas} TCP Tuesday Anything Goes Challenge

It's time for another TCP Tuesday at The Cat's Pajamas with an "Anything Goes" challenge. The challenge runs for two weeks and The Cat’s Pajamas stamps are not required.

With an anything goes challenge I decided to take advantage and combine today's card with The Hop to Stop which is designed to raise awareness about domestic violence, an issue that impacts 1 in 4 women. I stamped the image from the The Cat's Pajamas Survivor set onto Copics X-Press It cardstock, colored with Copic Markers and then fussy cut out. After cutting the circle from Wild Wisteria using a die from the Framed Up 2 set I shaped the sentiment step to fit the curve in the frame and stamped it using Purple Rain ink. The circle was attached to the patterned paper background with craft foam as was the image. I stamped the other sentiment directly onto the card base and then added a few enamel dots. The patterned paper came from the Echo Park Dots and Stripes Winter pad.

A Midnight Halloween {Purple Onion Designs}

Today's project feature stamps from Purple Onion Designs.

I first cut a rectangle from Neenah cardstock and then stamped the Moon & Stars image using Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Since these were small images I masked with masking fluid. I then created the background applying Broken China, Peacock Feathers, Faded Jeans and Seedless Preserves Distress inks with a Ranger Mini Blending tool. When the ink was completely dry I lightly sprayed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Marshmallow which gave it a slight shimmer. I then stamped Midnight onto Copics X-Press it cardstock, colored with Copic markers and fussy cut out. The image was attached with foam tape. The sentiment from the Sweet Occasions Sentiment set was stamped onto black cardstock with Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

She Took the Leap

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and this is my third card for The Hop to Stop which is designed to raise awareness about domestic violence, an issue that impacts 1 in 4 women. For more information about domestic violence, its impacts, and available resources, visit the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence.

Today's card also uses the Viva la Verve October Week 2 Sketch for the layout. Julee (the owner of Verve Stamps) offered an uplifting sentiment as a free digital in honor of The Hop to Stop. You can download it from her personal blog here. I printed it directly onto Wild Wisteria cardstock and then cut it out with Papertrey Ink Tag Sale #5 although I shortened it slightly. I stamped the butterfly from the Verve Happy Place set onto Copics X-Press It cardstock, cut it out with the matching die from the Happy Doodles set and colored with Copic markers. For the half circle on the sketch I combined a paper doily and a piece cut from patterned paper using a Spellbinders Nestabilties die, attaching to a textured cardstock background. The tag was secured with twine and the butterfly image was placed with foam tape. I added Ranger Stickles in Eucalyptus to the butterfly for a touch of glam.

I Need a Hug

Today's Halloween card is for the ColourQ (cQc #311) Challenge and also this week's Casology:Week 167 with the Cue word of Silly.

I stamped the mummy from The Cat's Pajamas Brains! set onto a piece cut with the matching free Cutables that Alma provides with each release and colored with Copic Markers. After attaching the image to a Reverse Confetti Quick Card Panel with foam tape, I stamped the bats from the Vintage Halloween set directly onto the panel. The sentiment from the Boo Y'all set was stamped onto a cardstock circle and clustered with a couple of buttons.

Batty for You

Today's card is a Halloween card for my granddaughter and features the colors from the Curtain Call - Going Batty Inspiration Challenge.

My seven year old granddaughter is crazy about the Hotel Transylvania movies. I've had to watch the first one more times than I care to because of that obsession. So of course vampires and bats are perfect for her Halloween card this year. I stamped the cute little vampire from the My Creative Time Fangtastic Day mini set and then fussy cut out (totally forgetting that there was a matching die). I then cut the bats from patterned paper using a die from the Paper Smooches Halloween Icons set. I cut a circle out from the top cardstock layer and craft foam with a Lil Inker Designs Stitched Mat and then backed the circle with yellow cardstock that was dry embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I sandwiched the vampire between the top and craft foam layer using foam tape behind his head for stability and then added the bats inside the circle. After stamping the sentiment from the Reverse Confetti Spooky Sentiments directly onto the top layer, I attached the piece onto a black card base and added a trio of buttons.

Go Make Disciples

Today's project is a bible bookmark.

I used the Papertrey Ink Bookmark die to cut the bookmark from Ranger watercolor cardstock and then stamped the sentiments and images  from the Illustrated Faith GO! set with Versamark ink doing a bit of masking so I could criss cross the feather images. I then heat embossed with white embossing powder. I believe this set is out of stock again so I just linked to the Etsy shop. At the top of the bookmark I watercolored with a turquoise Zig Clean Color Real Brush to represent the sky and with green at the bottom to represent the earth and added water. After the bookmark was dry, I ironed the back with a mini craft iron to alleviate the buckling of the paper and then used the same die to cut a backing. A snippet of ribbon through the tag hole anchored with a button tied with twine finished it up.

A Fall Thanks

Today's project is for the current Tag You're It (#31) Challenge.

I cut the leaf from Orange Fizz cardstock using a die from the Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves set. After partially stamping Kaisercraft Distress image onto it with Versamark ink, I heat embossed with gold embossing powder. After sponging around the outside of the leaf shape with Ranger Festive Berries Distress ink. I then tipped the points of the leaf into the Versamark pad and heat embossed them with gold powder as well. I cut the tag shape from pre-corrugated cardstock using the Reverse Confetti Thanks die and then the reinforcement and sentiment from gold mirrored cardstock. After attaching all to the tag, I went old school and threaded some fibers from a long ago stash through the tag hole along with some gold threads and added a single sequin to the leaf. Unfortunately I can't ever seem to photograph the gold cardstock to it's best advantage. It really is pretty and shiny despite what you see here.
