{The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek} Oh Chute

Are you ready for another The Cat's Pajamas sneak peek?  I hope so because the big eared bunny is back and this time he is floating around in a parachute. I wanted a vintage look so I combined the Simple Stories Baby Steps with an older walnut inked tag. I used my favorite metal die, the TCP Clouder border to cut some clouds surrounding the parachute. The sentiment was broken up and stamped to fit the ribbon flourish, both of which are included in the set. I added some small dimensional dots underneath the sentiment for a 3D effect.

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek} Step Right Up

Good morning Stampers!  How do you like the TCP sneaky peeks so far? I hope you are making a list because we have so much more to show you.

Today we are featuring the Step Right Up set. I love P.J. with his 'stache and master of ceremony outfit. Since the set was so fun and whimsical I wanted to combine him with some equally fun paper. Kaisercraft Party Animal fit that bill perfectly. I set P.J. onto a a platform I cut from the patterned paper design. Did you notice anything else new?  How about that adorable Circus Tent?! I didn't realize until I actually ran it through my Cuttlebug but it scores and cuts the paper to create natural areas for paper piecing. The way the tent folds are cut also makes it easy to gently curve it for a fun 3-D effect. I also used another new CutUps set, Circus Panels - actually I just used the edge of one of the panels and stamped my sentiment on it. The arrow is a diecut that came with the paper. The oversized Pennant CutUps was used as my background panel. Since I had a lot going on with the various elements I set everything onto a white background to cut down on the fussiness. This set has definitely made me want to go to the circus now. I haven't been in years.

{The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek} Untie the Ribbons

****If you are looking for my Sweet November/ATS Wednesday challenge project, please scroll down to the next post****

Good morning. I'm back today for another The Cat's Pajamas sneak peek. And yes, Big Bear is back and in female form in the Bearing Gifts stamp set.

I did a bit of paper piecing in combination with Copic coloring and stamped one of the sentiments onto patterned paper which I then cut with yet another new CutUps set which is one piece of three included in the Circus Panels set. They can be used as a layered stack or individually as I did on this card. I have always loved this saying, so I was super excited to see it included in the set. To further demonstrate the "untie the ribbons" motif I included a big ribbon bow. Truthfully, this bit of ribbon in my stash looked a bit worse for wear. I contemplated ironing it but in actuality the folds and creases actually "tied" in to the theme as is so I just went with it tacking it down with buttons in strategic places.

Sweet November Preview "Christmas Fairwees" Day 3 + ATS Wednesday Challenge

Welcome to the last day of the Sweet November stamp previews for October. I have two more Christmas cards today featuring the Christmas Fairwees "Mistletoe Josie" and "Piper and Her Snowman."

I stamped Mistletoe Josie onto an oval panel cut with Spellbinders Nestabilites and colored with Copic Markers. I then stamped the mistletoe image portion of the image onto another piece, colored with Copics and cut out. I superimposed it over the main panel, offsetting it and also adding some dimensional dots here and there for a 3D effect. The sentiment is also new from this release. The paper is from the new Basic Grey Nordic Holiday 6x6 pad.

Copics: Skin-E000, E00, E11, R20; Hair-E33 E35, E37, E57; Dress-R32, R27, R59; Mistletoe-G40, G82, G85, E50, E51

My second card uses Piper and Her Snowman. I stamped the image, colored with Copics and then cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities. The sentiment is from the Handy Christmas Wishes sentiment set by Amy R. for C.C. Designs. The paper is from the new Echo Park Holly Jolly 6x6 pad.

Copics: Skin-E000, E00, E11, R20; Hair-E50, E51, E53, E55; Clothing-G0000, G12, R24, R27, R29; Snowman-G0000, C1, C3, C5, C7, C9, R24, R27, R29, YG61, YG63, YG67; Shadows-BG0000

I really hope you've enjoyed the previews and that they have inspired you to get started on those Christmas cards. It helps to have cute stamps like these.  The entire Christmas Fairwee collection is available at the All That Scraps store now.

It is also the first Wednesday of month so that means it is time for the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge. The challenge is "anything goes" which means you can use any theme you want. There is a great prize being offered. In order to be eligible to win, your project must include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps shop whether it is any of the wonderful in house designs or from the various other stamp companies that ATS carries. {The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek } Ticket to My Heart

****If you are looking for my Sweet November project, please scroll down to the next post****

We're kicking off Sneaky Peek Week with a TCP Tuesday challenge (TCPTUES179) hosted by Susan to "Hype the Type" (use a TCP alphabet or sentiment stamp).

I think you are going to love the set The Cat Packers are previewing for you today, Admit One includes several images and sentiments to create your own "ticket". Or they can just be used as standalone sentiments and graphics without the ticket image. It is really a versatile stamp set. And to add to the fun there is a matching oversized Ticket CutUps.

Since the set included some heart related images, I decided to go with a love theme. I first cut out the ticket with the Ticket CutUps and then stamped the ticket edging. After that I built the rest of the image using five more of the stamps. I combined it with a set of stacked hearts cut using one of my very favorite CutUps, the Heart Trio. I used another sentiment from the set to stamp the small heart. Did you notice the border? I cut it using yet another new die that is in this release, Circus Border. As you can see, it can be used as a fun border for any theme, not just a circus one.

Sweet November Preview "Christmas Fairwees" Day 2

Welcome to day two of the Sweet November stamp previews for October. Today we are featuring Snowy Emaline and Ornament Mia from the Christmas Fairwee collection.

First up is Snowy Emaline. I stamped the image onto a doily cut with a My Favorite Things Die-namics and then colored with Copics. I added Ranger Stickles for the wings and the snowflurries and Flower Soft here and there on Emaline's outfit. The sentiment that I stamped directly onto the patterned paper panel is also a new release. The paper is from last years Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather 6x6 pad.

Products: Sweet November stamps, Cosmo Cricket dp, My Favorite Things Die-namics, Doodlebug jewels, May Arts ribbon, Ranger Stickles, Flower Soft, PTI die, Heidi Swapp jewels, Kaisercraft pearls, Copic Markers

Copics: Skin-E000, E00, E11, R20; Hair-E50, E51, E53; Clothing-BV0000, BV00, BV01, BG70, BG10, BG11

Next is a card featuring Ornament Mia. Don't you love how she is spotted herself in the ornament? It seems like every year I manage to capture myself in one of the Christmas balls when I'm taking a photo of my tree. After stamping the image I cut it out with Spellbinder's Nestabilities allowing Mia to hang outside the circle. I cut away the hanger and inserted a real one and then applied Ranger Stickles on the ornament top to give it a metallic look. After coloring the ball with Copics I covered it with Crystal Effects to give it a glassy appearance. The sentiment is also new from the Handy Christmas Wishes sentiment set by Amy R. for C.C. Designs. The paper is all from the new My Mind's Eye 12 Days of Christmas 6x6 pad.

Sweet November Preview "Christmas Fairwees" Day 1

Welcome to the first of three days of Sweet November October stamp previews. Do you remember the Fairwees collection introduced in August? Well, they are back in a holiday version! Today we are featuring Tree Trimmers with Jilly and Daphne.

Jilly and Daphne are busy little fairwees stringing a garland of popcorn and cranberries. Although things would go a lot faster if Daphne would quit sampling the popcorn. After stamping and coloring the images, I followed the thread of the stamp with baker's twine. The sentiment is also in this release and after stamping and cutting out with Spellbinders Nestabilities, I added some more popcorn and cranberries. I used the The Cat's Pajamas Cloud Border to cut the popcorn (thanks to Amy Rohl for that suggestion!) and a punch for the cranberry. The paper is from last years Basic Grey Jovial 6x6 pad.

Products: Sweet November stamps, Basic Grey dp, Maya Road chipboard, Ranger Stickles, PTI buttons, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Copic Markers
