Big Hugs {Purple Onion Designs}

My card today features one of my favorite images from the new I'll Be Home for the Holidays Collection illustrated by Stacey Yacula for Purple Onion Designs.

I stamped Sweet Hug (foxes) onto Copic friendly cardstock, cut out with a pierced die and colored with Copic markers. I centered the image onto the oceanside cardstock diecut which I used as the title. I added a trio of layered snowflakes cut from white linen and stardust cardstock for a wintery card.

Not a Creature was Stirring {Purple Onion Designs}

I combined some previously released stamps with an image from the new I'll Be Home for the Holidays Collection all illustrated by Stacey Yacula for Purple Onion Designs.

I stamped Joyce (mouse) onto Copic friendly cardstock, colored with Copic Markers, then fussy cut out eliminating the tiny stocking at the end of the bed because she has big dreams of lots of cheesy treats so she needed a bigger stocking. Next I cut out a rounded rectangle piece and stamped and colored the stocking from the Fireplace Decor set from a previous release and also the tree from the also previously released Door Decor #1 set. After partially stamping the Not a Creature was Stirring sentiment, I attached the mouse image to it using foam dimensionals. For the background, I used a stencil and tumbled glass distress ink, plus a few matted stencils randomly applied.

Deck the Hall With Treats {Purple Onion Designs}

Today's card features two of the new images illustrated by Shari Bresciani from the new It's Snowing Cats and Dogs collection. 

I stamped Hazel (cat) and the Christmas Tree, colored with Copic Markers,then fussy cut out. I used a clear gelly roll pen on the star on the tree for a bit of shine. I then lightly stamped the tree onto the card front as a guide then stamped a fish from the Tropical Fish Set and another from the Coral & Neptune set underneath the tree and also colored with Copics. After attaching the two images to the card front with foam dimensionals, I white heat embossed the sentiment from the new Furry Friends Sentiment set onto green parakeet cardstock, cut out with a stitched die and glued to the card. A few clear rainstones added some sparkle. I grounded the images with a bit of Copic pen work and markers.

Story Time {Purple Onion Designs}

My card for the day features the oh so sweet Story Time image from the new Home for the Holidays Collection illustrated by Stacey Yacula for Purple Onion Designs. 

After stamping, coloring and fussy cutting out the image, I set it aside to create the card background and shaker. I first cut the main background piece from white linen cardstock with a stitched die, then used a small window cutout die to create the window and the sashing. I backed the window with oceanside cardstock which I also blended with evergreen bough distress ink to make it darker, then filled with a sequin mix. The sentiment from the Home for the Holidays Sentiment set was white heat embossed onto a strip of oceanside cardstock. The garland from the previously released Fireplace Decor set was stamped using oceanside ink, then anchored with tiny red jewels. The image was attached with a layer of craft foam for added dimension.

Merry & Bright

I have another Christmas card using a stamp and die set I purchased last year but never got around to using.

I stamped the lanterns, candles and floral spray from the Reverse Confetti Lanterns set, cut out with the matching dies and colored with Copic markers. The bow image came from the Lantern Additions set and was also cut out with the matching die.  To prepare the background I stamped the Papertrey Ink Rustic Brick Background onto a linen cardstock rectangle using with rocky slope ink. I added a frame cut from patterned paper using a die from the Stitched Note & Frames set and adhered to the card base. After adhering the two lanterned inside the frame, I added the floral spray and bow using foam dimensionals. The sentiment from the  Lantern Additions set was stamped with vermillion ink.

*New* Holiday House {Purple Onion Designs}

I have another Christmas card using another Stacey Yacula illustrated image from the new I'll Be Home for the Holidays Collection by Purple Onion Designs. 

I first stamped Peppermint (puppy) from a previous release onto Copic friendly cardstock, masked the image then stamped the Holiday House Background. I colored with Copic markers, then cut out the panel with a stitched die. Before adhering to the card base, I splattered with acrylic paint for snow. Lastly, I cut a separate snow bank, then stamped the sentiment from the Home for the Holidays Sentiment set using cherry kisses ink.

*New* It's Snowing Cats and Dogs {Purple Onion Designs}

New Purple Onion Designs in da house! Today I am sharing a card featuring images from the It's Snowing Cats and Dogs collection, one of two collections illustrated by Shari Bresciani. 

After stamping Lucy, Fido's House, Pierre and the Christmas Tree, I colored all with Copic Markers then fussy cut out. For the background, I blended tumbled glass and broken china distress ink onto the card front, then splattered white acrylic paint  to represent snow. I cut a border from white linen cardstock using a stitched slimline snowdrift die and adhered to the bottom of the card front. I glued the tree and dog house to the card front, then added the two dogs using foam dimensionals. The sentiment from the Furry Friends Sentiment Set was stamped using berrylicous ink onto a stitched rectangle piece. A fun card for one of my dog loving friends!
