Everyday Life

While watching The Masters with Don on Sunday I scrapbooked for the first time in quite a while. I got three layouts done which is rather remarkable since I've only created a grand total of five for all of this year. Honestly, the closing of Lifetime Moments was really depressing after being a part of the team for so long.  I really just needed to take a break.  Unfortunately, the break has taken longer than I intended.  It felt good to put photos to paper again even though none of the layouts are going to win any prizes! I I really don't want this to just be a cards blog although I really enjoy making them.

Here are two of the layouts, both featuring my granddaughter Clara and primarily using the Little Yellow Bicycle Clothesline collection.  Beware, girly girl stuff ahead.

First up is "On the Hunt".  Clara and I "practiced" hunting eggs at my house before Easter. She loved it so much that we wound up hunting for them three times that day.

Products: Little Yellow Bicycle pp, My Mind's Eye diecut, Prima flower, American Crafts thickers and Doodlebug letter stickers, May Arts ribbons, Making Memories glass sticker, Pink Paislee brad, Cosmo Cricket chipboard

"10 Things I Love about Everyday Life" features a list of items that Clara loves right now.

Products: Little Yellow Bicycle pp and pocket, Jenni Bowlin Label paper, Prima flower and butterfly, May Arts ribbon, Fiskars boder punch

Everyday life is quite busy right now. Our anniversary was last Friday plus we had family visiting this past weekend. A good friend of Don's is visiting this week so I did a lot of preparing beforehand. They left on a road trip to play golf with a couple of other guys today. They'll be staying at a casino and plan on gambling a bit too. For some reason I am having visions of "The Hangover."

Happy tax day!

  1. Beautiful as ever Nancy. It must be something in the air since I've done nary even a digi layout in months (of course, I still buy paper AND digi supplies). Hugs.

  2. I'm with both of you, I haven't done much of anything crafty like since BEFORE LM closed. I did one altered envelope book and one little altered playing card book. that's it. not a single layout, not a single card. and NOT because I haven't tried. I seem to be broken. YOUR layouts though, are GORGEOUS Nancy!! love them both! :)

  3. Love that you practiced your egg hunt! How cool! Now I'm going to have to go look up that LYB line, it's adorable! I haven't scrapped a bunch either. I'm both depressed about LM but inspired by baby pics. It keeps me going. :D
