Today's card is pulling double duty today as I used the sketch from the Retro Sketches Challenge (RS#136) for the layout plus it also fits the Hope You Can Cling To (Hope Floats) Challenge (HYCCT1402) going over at Splitcoaststampers. Splitcoaststampers has paired up with the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center for a month long card drive benefiting those affected by breast cancer.
I cut the tag with the Paper Smooches Stitched Tag die from Neenah Classic Crest Natural White card stock. I stamped the lily pad from the Lawn Fawn Hello Baby set with Memento Bamboo Leaves ink, masked it and then stamped the leaves using MFT Sour Apple and the cattail using Stampin' Up Baked Brown Sugar ink. I stamped the frog separately, colored with Copic Markers and then fussy cut out. I placed the frog on the lily pad image using dimensional tape underneath the head to give it some lift. I added a flower cut with The Cat's Pajamas Flower Button CutUps covered with Yellow Ranger Stickles and Hemptique twine at the tag top. I combined the tag with papers from the Pebbles Family Ties pad and stamped the sentiment from the The Cat's Pajamas Words of Love set. A Doodlebug enamel dot in the flower center and a smattering of Doodlebug sequins finished it up.
Products: Lawn Fawn stamp, The Cat's Pajamas stamp and CutUps, PTI and Neenah cs, Doodlebug enamel dot and sequins, Hemptique cord, Ranger Stickles, MFT and Memento ink, Copic Markers
Copics: YG0000, YG21, YG23, Y11, Y13, Y17

When Life Hands You Lemons
Today's card is a clean and simple one for the October Reverse Confetti Sketch Challenge #17.
I've been working with so many Halloween, Fall and Christmas colors that it was nice to go back to some sunshiny fresh colors. Not that I don't love the holiday colors because I do.
I started out by stamping the three leaves and two lemons from the Reverse Confetti Fresh 'n Fruity set onto white card stock and then cut them out with the matching Fresh 'n Fruity dies. I attached to a circle cut with My Favorite Things Die-namics using dimensional dots underneath the top lemon. I added the strips of patterned paper from the Avery Elle The Brights Collection and Simple Stories DIY Boutique pads, plus a small scalloped piece in a contrasting color. After attaching the image piece, I stamped the sentiment directly to the card base and then added some Doodlebug sequins to finish it up.
Products: Reverse Confetti stamps and dies, Avery Elle and Simple Stories dp, PTI cs, Doodlebug sequins, Simon Says (Black), Studio Calico (Lime Light) and Stampin' Up (Daffodil Delight) inks

The Cat's Pajamas {TCPTUES277} Inspiration Challenge
It's TCP Tuesday challenge time at The Cat's Pajamas and I am the hostess for this rotation with an inspiration challenge.
If you attended The Cat's Pajamas pre-release Pajama Party at Splitcoaststampers, then you might have caught a look at this project. I was drawn to the party theme of the inspiration photo so I made a party in the box with the Card in a Box Cutable. The party attendees include the characters from the Boo Y'all, Eat, Drink and Be Scary and Brains! sets. I used the free matching cutables to faux fussy out the images and then colored with Copic Markers. I gave the bunny a "piercing" with a jump ring and then added the sentiment from the Boo Y'all set, stamping onto a circle with Versamark and then heat embossed with Ranger embossing powder. For the front flap I used an older Martha Stewart paper doily, stamping the spiders from the Vintage Halloween set directly onto it and then attaching the spider web from the same set, stamped onto purple cardstock, heat embossed with Black Diamonds embossing powder and fussy cut out.
For the left flap, I stamped another sentiment from the Boo Y'all set onto the label from the Fancy Flip CutUps which I turned into a grave marker, adding a bit of grass at the bottom cut with the Grass CutUps. I perched two birds to the top cut with The Birds CutUps from black card stock and then covered with Ranger Black Diamonds Stickles.
For the right flap, I cut label from one of the pieces from the Framed Up CutUps, stamped the image from the Vintage Halloween set with Versamark and then heat embossed with Recollections Lime Green Embossing Powder. I added more birds to the center cut with The Birds CutUps from black card stock and then covered with Ranger Black Diamond Stickles.
Lastly for the back, I added some purple slime with the Slime/Icicles CutUps and a sentiment from Eat, Drink and Be Scary set stamped onto the label from the Fancy Flip CutUps and then matted using the matching piece from the Fancy Flips Frames.
Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps, CutUps and Cutables, Bella Blvd and Ki Memories dp, Queen and Co Embellishments, Martha Stewart paper doily, Ranger Black Diamonds Stickles and Embossing Powder, Recollections embossing powder, Simon Says ink, Copic Markers

Keep Shining
Wow, the blog has been busy the past few days! I have yet another challenge card today. This one is for the October Viva la Verve Sketch Week 2 sketch.
I stamped the verse from the Verve Shining Star onto a white circle and then another sentiment from the same set onto gray card stock. I placed some tone on tone stars onto the sentiment piece that I cut with a piece from The Cat's Pajamas Holiday Toppers. The banner was created with The Cat's Pajamas Bitty Banners CutUps using the same gray card stock. The patterned paper came from the Doodlebug Kraft in Color pad.
Products: Verve stamps, Doodlebug dp, PTI cs, Kaisercraft jewel, The Cat's Pajamas CutUps, Simon Says cs and ink
I will be sending this to a young man who plays football for The University of Alabama. He suffered a horrible injury in a game (and was kicked in the head by an Ole Miss player while he was laying on the ground obviously in tremendous pain). He will be out for the season but it looks like he might actually be able to come back next year if he wants to play again. We are blessed to have some of the finest orthopedic surgeons in the world practicing in Birmingham and they did a fantastic job with him. I just wanted to send him a card of encouragement. I know all too well how hard physical therapy can be having been through it several times in my life. Of course it had to be in Crimson Tide colors!

Don't Let Anything Dull Your Sparkle
Today's card is pulling double duty today as I used the sketch from the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge (FMS157) for the layout as well at the Hope You Can Cling To (Teddy Bear for My Sister) Challenge (HYCCT1406) going over at Splitcoaststampers. Splitcoaststampers has paired up with the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center for a month long card drive benefiting those affected by breast cancer.
I colored up the image from The Cat's Pajamas Catch My Drift set with Copic Markers and then fussy cut out. I prepared the background by using Dots CutUps to emboss the dots rather than cut them. I combined patterned papers from the Doodlebug Kraft in Color pad for the image panel, stamping the sentiment from the Rise and Shine set on a card stock strip. I cut the cloud using the Cloud Border and the stars from the 3x3 Stars CutUps and then covered them with Ranger Frosted Lace and Yellow Stickles.
Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamps and CutUps, Doodlebug dp and sequins, PTI cs, Ranger SticklesCopic Markers
Copics: Bear-E50, E51, E53, W00, E81, R0000, R81; Balloons-BG0000, BG000, BG10, BG11, R0000, R81, R83, Y0000, Y11, Y13, YR31, YR0000, YR01, YR12
I hope your Sunday has been full of blessings.

Merry Christmas
Good morning. I have another clean and simple Christmas card for you today featuring the oh so cute Lawn Fawn Joy to the Woods stamp set.
I stamped the birch tree image onto wood grain patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Necessities Wood paper pad and fussy cut out. I also stamped the cardinal, squirrel and acorn and ornament with bow onto Copic X-Press It card stock, colored with Copic Markers and then fussy cut out. I attached all to a circle cut with My Favorite Things die from white cardstock (for the snowy hill) and patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn Snow Day Petite pad. After attaching all the images to the circle to set the scene, I stamped the sentiment directly onto the card base and also another ornament which I colored with Copics and added a few Doodlebug enamel dots to finish it up. I am entering this for the current Lawnscaping Challenge #91 to use patterned paper.

Great News!
I've been about to bust with the news that I am now on the Purple Onion Design Team!
So of course, I had to make a card to celebrate. It's another Christmas card, this time using the cutie patootie Charlotte the mouse (a Stacey Yacula image) which I colored with Copics and then fussy cut out. Although Charlotte was not really a Christmas image, I combined her with the Doodle Frame-Christmas Trees (a Stephanie Ackerman design). I cut away the frame portion and then colored the trees with Copic Markers, adding Ranger Yellow Stickles on the stars and Silver on the garland for some shine and sparkle. I attached both images to a Doodlebug patterned paper circle cut with a My Favorite Things pierced circle die, using dimensional dots underneath the mouse. The patterned paper came from the Doodlebug Frosty Friends pad. I couldn't find the sentiment I wanted in my stamp stash so I computer generated one.
Products: Purple Onion Designs stamps, Doodlebug dp, Bazzill and PTI cs, Ranger Stickles, MFT die, Copic Markers
Copics: Mouse-C00, C1, C3, BG10, BG13, BG15, W00, E81; Trees-YG0000, YG01, YG23, BG10, BG13, BG15, B21, B23, B26, V12, V15, V17
Michele is one of the nicest people in the industry and I can't wait to get started! You can read my introduction on the Purple Onion Designs blog.
