Good morning. I took a break from design team projects to create today's card for a couple of challenges. Even though I have been creating a lot of fall and holiday cards, I am not ready for summer to end. Far from it actually. Despite the unrelenting heat I still love the summer season the best.
I went all in with The Stamp Market stamps and dies with this one. I first stamped the linen cardstock background with the Diamond Design Background using green parakeet ink then cut out with a stitched die. I then used the Butterfly Builder stamps and dies to create the two butterflies using bright buttercup ink for the wings and black for the bodies. I cut the frame from green parakeet ink using a die from the Scalloped Frame Die set, then stamped the sentiment from the Sincere Sentiments set inside it. The butterflies were attached with a combo of glue and foam dimensionals.
Products: The Stamp Market stamps and dies, PTI cs, MFT die, PTI and Simon Says ink
I am submitting this to the debut challenge at Color Hues (yellow and green) and the layout is based on the current Freshly Made Sketches challenge.
What a lovely ,bright card!
ReplyDeleteSometimes we just have to step away from our obligatory creations and play along with all the fabulous challenges in blog land. I am just delighted that you chose Color Hues to be one of the ones you played along with today! I love those bold butterflies and the way you framed in over top of the already interesting enough diamond background with the scalloped frame. This came together perfectly Nancy! Thanks for being with us for our first challenge at Color Hues.
ReplyDeleteNancy this makes my heart flutter! SO pretty!
