We are celebrating the September release with a blog hop. If you arrived here from Cristena's blog then you are right on track. If you got lost along the way, Julee is the beginning of the hop.
I have two very different projects for you today. But isn't that part of the joy of paper crafting? Playing with stamps and inks and paper is so satisfying and even more so during this uncertain time in our lives.
First up is a monochromatic card featuring the new Stitched Owl CutUps. I cut the owl from white linen and sea salt cardstock with a bit of harvest gold cardstock for the eyes, beak and feet to represent a snowy owl. I used a C7 Copic marker on the eyes. For the card front I added tone on tone messy stripes using an image from the Watercolor Basics set. Next I created a cutout with the Birch Snowglobe die, then backed with patterned paper. After stamping the sentiment from the Simply Said set, I attached the owl piece using foam dimensionals for a clean and simple card.
For my second project I created a small tag to attach to a gift for a sweet little girl I know. I used the new Alice Bundle to stamp and cut Alice, then colored with Copic markers. I cut the tag from patterned paper using the die from the Wish Tag Duo. I also used the Portrait of Mew die set to cut from two colors of cardstock and attached to the tag. The Alice image was attached with foam dimensionals. A few sequins and a ribbon treatment in the tag hole finished it up.
Now hop on over to Christine's blog because she always has something fabulous to share with you.
Well these are just darling! LOVE the snowy owl. It’s a sophisticated take on this sweet owl
ReplyDeleteThe owl card is really cute. I like how you made the trees---and the matching owl. Really nice design for the trees--to look like real trees.
ReplyDeletethese cards are so adorable!
