Welcome to the April Picket Fence Studios release. There are some amazing products in this release! I have two projects to share with you today.
I used the new beautiful and intricate A2 Cherry Blossom Cover Plate Die to cut from linen cardstock. It was necessary to use a shim and I also ran it through my die cutting machine several times to make sure I cut all those tiny squares. I freely admit I spent some time on this card but it was worth it in the end. I colored all the flower centers and a bit of each petal with Copic markers and then attached the die cut to a turquoise cardstock card base. The sentiment from the Swanky Friendship Sentiments set released last month was white embossed onto the same cardstock as the card base and then cut with the matching die which I attached with foam dimensionals. Lastly I added two of the butterfly wings from the awesome new Kaleidoscope Butterflies.
Products: Picket Fence Studios Stamp and Dies, Reverse Confetti and PTI cs, PFS Butterfly, Versamark ink, Copic Markers
Copics: RV11, R81, R83, Y00, Y02
My next card is really different from the first showing you the variety of products Picket Fence Studios has to offer. I stamped the new Cancer Girl which is part of the Horoscope Girls collection onto Copic friendly cardstock, cut out with the matching die, then colored with Copic Markers. To prepared the background I placed the new Retro Burst 6x6 Stencil over a stitched cardstock panel then layered the largest negative piece from the A2 Vertical Messy Watercolor Stencil over it in to use as a mask since I wanted to partially stencil. I then blended salvaged patina distress ink using a brush from the Life Changing Blender Brush Set. The sentiment was stamped in black and gala red directly onto the panel. The image was then attached using craft foam.
