Peace, Love and Sparkly Stuff

I received my Reverse Confetti order in the mail yesterday and I sat down that afternoon and made three cards using the Tinsel 'n Trim stamps and the Tag Me die set.

By using the November Sketch for You to Try for the basic layout and limiting myself to papers from one paper pad, Carta Bella Merry and Bright, a set of much needed Christmas cards came together very quickly. Lots of bling, embossing powders and sparkly papers added to the festive look.

I embossed two of the stamps onto white cardstock with Recollections embossed powder, placing them in and around the tag cut from MFT Sno Cone cardsock. The sentiment flag is a die from the same tag set. I added the glittery paper bow at the top using the MFT Dainty Bow Die-namics. I'll be honest and say I am not sure how I am going to get it in the mail without it being crushed. I slipped a piece underneath the tag which was cut using the small tag in the die set. Everything was placed on a plain white card base and I added sequins and jewels for more sparkle.

For the second card, I reversed the sketch and placed everything against a white dry embossed background. I used silver embossing powders for the sentiment and substituted the circle with a snowflake. I found the Prima swirl in my stash while looking for something else. It was actually just a snippet left over from a previous project but it fit the tag perfectly. I topped off the patterned paper tag with another one of the silvery bows, added another snowflake and some more bling.

For the final card I went a little more CAS look. I used a Cuttlebug embossing border folder a couple of times as a substitute for the bottom rectangular piece in the sketch. I cut the tag from a creamy glittery cardstock I found at Michael's and added yet another of the dainty bows although I changed the direction of the tails. The sentiment was embossed with silver embossing powder onto the flag shape cut from MFT Sno Cone cardstock. I also heat embossed the second stamped piece with silver powder and then cut out with Spellbinders Nestabilities.I don't know why it looks so mottled in the pic as it looks fine in person. A few jewels finished things up. This one was hard to get a good photograph for some reason but it is actually my favorite in the group. I am also submitting this one for the Case Study #166 challenge.
